SST Families,

As part of our commitment to creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment for all swimmers, we are asking both athletes and parents to complete the USA Swimming Safe Sport Training courses.

This training equips our community with the knowledge to recognize, prevent, and respond to situations that may compromise athlete well-being. Completing it is also a key step toward our team achieving USA Swimming Safe Sport Recognition.

Who should complete training:

  • Athletes (ages 12 & older): Athlete Protection Training (APT)
  • Parents/Guardians: Parent Safe Sport Training


Please see the email below for information about live training taking place in the coming weeks. If those dates and times don't work for you you can also complete the online course via your USA swimming account, see attached instructions.

USA Swimming Safe Sport staff is hosting Zoom trainings for parents, minor athletes and coaches to assist clubs in completing the Training and Education requirement of the Safe Sport Club Recognition program.

 

All participants will need to register to attend training.  Please send this information to all your parents, athletes and coaches to encourage participation and help your club achieve the goals of Safe Sport Club Recognition.

 

Parent Trainings:

·    Wednesday, September 3 at 8:00 p.m. ET – REGISTER

·    Tuesday, October 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET – REGISTER

·    Tuesday, November 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET – REGISTER

·    Tuesday, December 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET – REGISTER

Athlete Trainings (12-17 years old):
 

·    Thursday, September 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET – REGISTER

·    Thursday, October 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET – REGISTER

·    Thursday, November 6 at 8:00 p.m. ET – REGISTER

·    Thursday, December 11 at 8:00 p.m. ET – REGISTER

 

 

Parents and Athletes also have the option to take the course online! Take it anytime at your own pace. Training is valid for 18 months from the date of completion.
